Terms of Service

By accessing or using PilotCoach, you confirm that you can form a binding contract and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

PilotCoach is a software application that uses AI to help student pilots study aviation concepts, generate practice lessons, evaluate practice answers, and provide educational feedback based on publicly available FAA reference material.

PilotCoach is an educational study aid only. It is designed to help you review and reinforce aviation knowledge. It is not a substitute for formal flight training, ground instruction, or official study materials.

PilotCoach is not a flight instructor, flight school, or training provider. It does not issue endorsements, certificates, ratings, medical certificates, solo flight approvals, checkride approvals, or any other form of legal aviation authority. Nothing in the app constitutes flight instruction or authorization to operate an aircraft.

PilotCoach is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), a Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE), an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME), or any other government or regulatory body. References to FAA material are for educational purposes only.

You are solely responsible for:

• Verifying all aviation information against official, current FAA sources.
• Consulting your Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI), your aircraft's POH/AFM, current charts, weather briefings, NOTAMs, and applicable procedures before any real-world flight decision.
• The safe and legal operation of any aircraft you fly.
• Providing accurate account information and keeping your credentials secure.

PilotCoach uses artificial intelligence to generate lessons, explanations, and feedback. AI-generated content may be incomplete, outdated, or factually incorrect. You must independently verify any information before relying on it for study, testing, or any real-world purpose.

Do not use PilotCoach while operating an aircraft, taxiing, or in any situation where distraction could create a safety risk. PilotCoach must never be used in place of official emergency or operational procedures. Emergency and operational decisions must always be made using official checklists, current regulations, and the judgment of qualified, currently rated human instructors and examiners.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

PilotCoach is currently offered as a beta service. Paid subscription plans, pricing, and billing terms are not yet active. If and when paid plans launch, updated billing terms will be presented and will require separate acceptance before any charge is made.

You agree not to:

• Use PilotCoach for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulation.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Submit content that is harmful, abusive, or infringes on others' rights.
• Misrepresent AI-generated content from PilotCoach as official FAA guidance or as advice from a certificated instructor or examiner.

PilotCoach's software, design, branding, and original lesson content are owned by PilotCoach or its licensors. You retain ownership of content you submit (such as practice answers), and you grant us a license to process it to operate and improve the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

PilotCoach is currently in beta. Features, lesson content, and availability may change, be added, or be removed at any time without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

PilotCoach is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI-generated content is correct or current.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PilotCoach and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or flight privileges, arising from your use of or reliance on the service, including reliance on AI-generated content.

You agree to indemnify and hold PilotCoach harmless from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your reliance on PilotCoach content for real-world aviation decisions.

We may suspend or terminate your access to PilotCoach at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or for any other reason. You may stop using the service at any time.

These Terms will be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which PilotCoach's operating entity is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. [Specific governing law and venue to be finalized with legal counsel prior to general availability.]
