Account information: email address, name, and avatar, either provided directly or received from Google when you sign in with Google.

Profile / onboarding information: student type, training status, main goal, flight hours, aircraft, and the topics you find hardest — all provided voluntarily during onboarding to personalize your training.

Learning activity: lessons viewed, practice answers, AI-generated feedback, progress, and weak areas.

Analytics: page views, sessions, time spent on pages, device type, operating system, browser and browser version, a truncated user agent string, language, timezone, screen/viewport size, referring page, and approximate country/region/city when available from our hosting provider. Analytics are tied to an anonymous identifier, and to your account if you are signed in.

Technical information: basic application logs and error reports used to keep the service running.

• To provide and operate the PilotCoach application.
• To personalize lessons and practice questions to your training level and goals.
• To improve lesson quality, AI feedback, and the overall product.
• To help secure accounts and detect abuse or fraud.
• To understand usage through internal analytics and an admin dashboard.

When you submit practice answers or questions, that content may be sent to third-party AI providers to generate educational explanations and feedback. Please do not submit sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers, medical details, or financial information) in any question or answer field — it is not needed for PilotCoach to function.

• An anonymous visitor identifier (anonymous_user_id) is stored in your browser's local storage so we can recognize a returning device without requiring an account.
• A session identifier (session_id) is stored in session storage and is specific to your current browser tab/session.
• If you sign in, Supabase (our authentication provider) stores session/auth tokens needed to keep you signed in.

We share data with the service providers that operate PilotCoach, including:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and storage.
• Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
• Our AI provider(s) (such as Google/Gemini or OpenAI-compatible services) — to generate lessons and feedback.
• Google — if you choose to sign in with Google.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We retain account, learning activity, and analytics data for as long as needed to operate the app, maintain security, and improve the product, unless you request deletion sooner.

You can contact us at support@pilotcoachai.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and associated data. You can also control cookies and local storage through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect PilotCoach's functionality.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

PilotCoach is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use PilotCoach.

Our service providers may process and store data in the United States or other countries. By using PilotCoach, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with data protection laws different from those in your own country.

We may update this Privacy Policy as PilotCoach evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date, and significant changes may require you to re-accept the policy.
